INFORMATION ABOUT COOKIES

Due to the entry into force of the amendment to the “Law on Information Society Services” (LSSICE), established by Royal Decree 13/2012, it is mandatory to obtain the express consent of users on all websites that use non-essential cookies, before they begin browsing.

WHAT ARE COOKIES?

Cookies and similar technologies such as local shared objects, flash cookies, or pixels are tools used by web servers to store and retrieve information about their visitors, as well as to ensure the proper functioning of the site.
Through the use of these devices, the web server can remember certain data about the user, such as their display preferences for the pages on that server, username and password, products of interest, etc.

COOKIES SUBJECT TO REGULATION AND EXEMPT COOKIES

According to EU directives, cookies that require the user’s informed consent are analytical, advertising, and affiliate cookies. Technical cookies and those necessary for the operation of the website or for the provision of services expressly requested by the user are exempt.

WHAT TYPES OF COOKIES EXIST?

ACCORDING TO PURPOSE

Technical and functional cookies: These allow the user to navigate through a website, platform or application and use the different options or services therein, such as traffic control, data communication, session identification, access to restricted areas, remembering items in a shopping cart, processing orders, registering or participating in events, using security elements, storing content for multimedia, or sharing content via social networks.
They also include personalisation cookies, which allow the user to access the service with certain general features predefined based on criteria such as language, browser type, regional settings, etc.

Analytical cookies: These enable the data controller to monitor and analyse the behaviour of users on the websites to which they are linked. The information gathered through these cookies is used to measure website activity, application or platform performance, and to create browsing profiles in order to make improvements based on usage data.

Advertising cookies: These allow for the most efficient possible management of advertising spaces that the editor may have included on a website, application, or platform from which the requested service is provided, based on criteria such as edited content or the frequency of ads.
Behavioural advertising cookies: These store information on users’ preferences and personal choices (retargeting) to allow for efficient ad space management. Learn more at:
http://www.lssi.gob.es/Paginas/politica-cookies.aspx and the Spanish Data Protection Agency’s Guide on Cookies.
Social cookies: Set by social media platforms to allow content sharing with your network. These platforms may track your browsing activity beyond the Services, which may affect the content and messages shown to you elsewhere online.
Affiliate cookies: Enable tracking of visits originating from other websites with which a contractual affiliation is in place (affiliate companies).
Security cookies: Store encrypted information to prevent stored data from being vulnerable to third-party malicious attacks. They are only used on HTTPS connections.

ACCORDING TO OWNERSHIP

First-party cookies: Sent to the user’s device from a domain managed by the website owner providing the service.
Third-party cookies: Sent to the user’s device from a domain not managed by the site owner, but by another entity that processes the data obtained through cookies.

ACCORDING TO RETENTION PERIOD

Session cookies: Designed to collect and store data while the user is accessing a website.
Persistent cookies: Data remains stored on the device and can be accessed and processed for a period defined by the cookie controller, ranging from a few minutes to several years.

PROCESSING OF PERSONAL DATA

[Name of Responsible Party] is the data controller for the personal data of the data subject and informs that this data will be processed in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of 27 April 2016 (GDPR). The following processing information is provided:
